5. Can You Get Postbiotics From Food?
Fermented foods contain compounds produced during fermentation, and some of those remain after pasteurization even when the live cultures do not. That is not the same as a postbiotic preparation, which identifies the inactivated microorganism and the amount used in research.
Yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi can be worth eating on their own merits, but a food label will not tell you which fermentation-derived compounds it contains or how much. Match a named preparation to a study if you want an evidence trail.
